I am very excited to share these wines – I think Tua Rita does some absolutely amazing work in Bolgheri and I am pleased to present our latest allocation of Tua Rita’s flagship Redigaffi, one of Bolgheri’s most iconic Merlots, plus access to very limited back vintages and larger formats.
We are offering these significantly under current retail value.
2021 – 130 cases (3×75 cl) @ $1,360 per case
2020 – 10 cases (3×75 cl) @ $1,205 per case
Back vintages – very limited: 2007, 2015, 2016, 2019 (including some rare large formats)
Estate Background
Founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti on the Tuscan coast, Tua Rita quickly established itself among Italy’s most celebrated estates. Redigaffi, 100% Merlot, is its signature wine: low yields, meticulous viticulture, and ageing in French oak barriques yield an expression of Tuscan Merlot with that is unmatched.

Fresher, more classical in style. Bright dark fruit, incense and savoury spice, finely structured with superb ageing potential.

Rich and polished. Dark plum, cassis and cocoa with graphite and spice. Plush tannins and a long finish.

Back Vintages – Rarely Available
2007 – A legendary, warm vintage producing one of the estate’s richest Redigaffi. Dense, ripe, opulent fruit. 98pts WA.
2015 – Textbook Tuscan vintage. Powerful yet silky, brimming with black cherry and mocha. 97pts JS.
2016 – A cooler, structured year: refined tannins, balance and long ageing potential. 96pts Vinous.
2019 – Ripe but classical, showing energy, lift and superb focus. 97pts Decanter.
Quantities are very limited for the 2020 and older vintages.
